Petrea Volubilis - Purple Wreath, Sandpaper vine flower plant

Purple Wreath is a very lovely small climber with drooping long racemes of delicate violet-purple star-like flowers. It is a semi-shrub and semi-climber and the small wooden trunk develops artistic curves over the years. It looks as if an Ikebana expert has shaped it for his floral arrangement. It grows best in sunshine. It flowers in spring and in some areas also in November. The flowers come in raceme reaching over 1 foot long. The true flower, which is purple, lasts a couple of days but the blue bracts remain much longer, slowly turning gray.

I purchased the plant in December 2020 and the plant came in a very good health. It has flowered for the first time this year in February 2022 and the beauty of the flowers are just indescribable. The profuse blooms from each branch of the vine makes it look like a bunch of bouquets of pure purple lusciousness.

Ordered Petrea Volubilis this month. After being dispatched, it took 6 days to deliver (significantly more than any other online plant seller). Naturally, the plant was received dried and dead. All the leaves fell within the first day since they were dried to a crisp. I informed plantsguru on the same day (with pictorial and video proof) but I have not received any acknowledgment of the complaint.
I buy a lot of plants online. Have never been this disappointed.

The plant arrived yesterday. It looks healthy. Plastic pot mentioned in the description was not provided with the plant. Will provide a rating after observing it for a few more days.

Plant was very strong and healthy. In fact fully grown with stem diameter 2 inches. Roots had come out of the pot holes. Very happy with the product, though I felt rate is a bit high. Thank you Plantsguru
